Rules of Acquisition
The first Rules of Acquisition, codifying Ferengi culture for millennia to follow, were written by Grand Nagus Gint.[24] Ferengi children were expected to memorize all 285 rules of acquisition on command,[1] though females were forbidden to do so[7] prior to Grand Nagus Zek‘s reforms of the 2370s.[33]

I.K.S. Negh’var IKS-7500
I.K.S. Negh’Var (DS9-473-474)
The Negh’var was the flagship of the Klingon Empire in the late 24th century. Designed to be an imposing and formidable opponent, this ship was only brought out when the Empire mobilized in force; the ship was rarely encountered alone, but at the head of a fleet. At least two Vor’cha class battleships and two wings of B’rel or K’vort class warships would travel alongside it. It also served as the flagship of the chancellor of the Klingon High Council. The Negh’var was capable of a wide range of military missions, from landing ground troops for planetary assault to invasion.[3]

Negh’var class
Negh’Var (DS9-473-474)
The largest ship in the Klingon Defense Force fleet, the Negh’var class represented the pinnacle of Klingon design and made for an impressive display of might. Roughly comparable to the size of Starfleet‘s Galaxy class ships, and following the dictate “more is better,” the Klingons constructed the class with the largest engines, the most powerful disruptors, and the best cloaking device available to them.[4]

K’t’inga class command pod (ST-01)
The K’t’inga class,[2] which meant “bringer of destruction,” was introduced in mid-2269 and was a match for the Federation Constitution class and Romulan S’ten Vastam (V-6) class cruisers. This gave the Klingon Defense Force a slight advantage along its borders, and the Klingon Empire began to press the balance more aggressively. Both the Romulan Navy and Starfleet commissioned upgraded versions of their vessels shortly after the appearance of the K’t’inga class in order to hold the Klingons in check. Within two years after its introduction, 75% of all facilities producing the D-7 had been converted to manufacture the K’t’inga, allowing the Klingons to place more and more of these ships in sensitive areas.[3]

I.K.S. Gr’oth IKC-4175
D-7 class (DS9-503)
A D-7 class battlecruiser commanded by Captain Koloth, the Gr’oth[2] visited Deep Space K-7 for shore leave in 2268. The ship became infested with Tribbles, thanks to the crew of the U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701,[1] which gave the crew additional incentive to join in the Great Tribble Hunt.[3]

U.S.S. Destiny
Sovereign class (ST-08)
In late 2374, shortly after the death of Jadzia Dax,[1] the Sovereign class[4] Destiny, under the command of Captian Raymer, was assigned to transport the ailing Dax symbiont from Deep Space 9 back to Trill.[1] Along the way, Dax took a turn for the worse. Ensign Ezri Tigan was the only Trill aboard the vessel, and became the new Ezri Dax.[2] The Destiny returned to Deep Space Nine in early 2375 before joining the Seventh Fleet at Kalandra. Dax was to have rejoined the ship’s crew but she opted instead to accept a posting at Deep Space 9.[3]

D-7 class
D-7 class (DS9-503)
The D-7 was probably the most infamous cruiser ever to stalk the spacelanes. These ships were associated with death and destruction on a scale second to none. When first introduced in late 2244, these vessels captured the minds and spirits of the Klingon commanders so fully that for many years they were viewed by outsiders as the symbol of Klingon tyrrany. This design was developed from the earlier d’ama (D-4) class cruiser and incorporated all of its most popular features. The command pod mounted forward on the boom assembly and the wing-like main hull were altered slightly, but all of the basic concepts were retained.[4]
