“A Klingon is not born a warrior!”

Gowron, leader of the Klingon Empire, addressed the assembled Starfleet officers. He pulled out his knife and stuck it deep into the tabletop. “Being a warrior is something that must be earned. Before I earned this knife, I owned a ghojmeH taj, a boy’s knife.”

Gowron glanced around at his audience for a moment. “This story is about Pok, son of Torghn, my friend and ally. A mere boy with a ghojmeH taj. I will tell you how Pok became a warrior . . .”
