Sweet Spot
The location on a starship where artificial gravity is not fully effective, resulting in a localized zero-G environment. The sweet spot was usually about halfway between the grav-generator and the bow plate. Space boomer Travis Mayweather enjoyed sitting in the Enterprise NX-01‘s sweet spot.[1]

Distress Signal
Red alert (TOS-08)
“Old style” distress signals were keyed to cause interference and attract attention. When the U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701 intercepted an old style distress signal in 2254, it caused the ship’s systems to react as though a solid object was approaching, setting off collision warnings and the red alert klaxon.[1]

A Vulcan-initiated program that facilitated the exchange of knowledge among physicians of many different species. Dr. Phlox served in the program prior to joining the crew of the Enterprise NX-01.[1] Phlox also made a human friend through the program, Dr. Jeremy Lucas.[2]

School located in Kenmare, County Kerry, Ireland on Earth. Ms. Malvin’s fourth grade class submitted a list of questions for the Enterprise NX-01 crew, and Captain Archer and his crew recorded answers to send back to Earth. Students in the class included William Brennan, Molly McCook and Gabrielle Witty.[1]
