A young Spock watches his father negotiate a treaty with the planet Marath. After the signing of the historic document, factions on the planet appear enraged, and begin to sabotage the peace. When Spock’s mother is attacked in front of her home, Spock realizes he must help his father solve the mystery, while choosing between life at either the Vulcan Science Academy or Starfleet Academy.
