Sarek

The Vulcan ambassador to Earth,^[10] Sarek—son of Skonn^[3] and grandson of Solkar^[3]—married a Human woman, Amanda Grayson,^[1] and on Stardate 2230.06,^[12] they had a son, whom they named Spock.

ST11 Timeline

Until 2258, the life of Sarek was virtually identical to that of his counterpart in the Prime timeline, but the return of the Romulan named Nero on Stardate 2258.42 changed that forever. Using Red Matter, Nero created an artificial black hole beneath the surface of Vulcan. Though Sarek escaped, thanks to the timely arrival of Spock and the U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701, Vulcan was destroyed, killing billions—including Amanda.^[10]
