Laser Cannon

Energy weapon. The U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701 transmitted its power wirelessly to a Laser Cannon on the surface of Talos IV in the 2250s.^[1] It is possible that the term “laser cannon” was simply a slang designation for a different type of energy weapon, such as a phaser, as it did not behave like a laser beam.
