Laser Pistol
Energy weapon used by the crew of the U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701 during an encounter with the Talosians in the 2250s. Capable of exploding solid rock almost instantly after the beam strikes.[1] It is possible that the term “laser pistol” was simply a slang designation for a different type of energy weapon, such as a phaser, as it did not behave like a laser beam.

Laser Cannon

Enterprise NCC-1701 transmitted its power wirelessly to a Laser Cannon on the surface of Talos IV in the 2250s.[1] It is possible that the term “laser cannon” was simply a slang designation for a different type of energy weapon, such as a phaser, as it did not behave like a laser beam.
