Carraya IV (TNG-243)
A jungle world on the edge of Romulan space, about three hours at an unspecified warp speed from Deep Space Nine, which was the site of a secret camp for 73 reluctant Klingon survivors of the Khitomer massacre in 2346.[1]

Cardassia Prime (STSC)
Cardassia Prime Surface (DS9-445)
The formal name of the Cardassian homeworld—although natives often informally dropped the “Prime.”[1] Its capital city was awash with giant and continuous state-controlled messages extolling self-sacrifice, order, and subservience to the government—with a characteristic emphasis on the family and children. The central prison was located on the planet.[2] An ancient Bajoran solar sailor’s crash site on the planet was kept secret out of pride until Commander Sisko and Jake’s historic trip recreating the accomplishment in in 2371.[3] Cardassia Prime was one of dozens of worlds devastated economically with the old order’s collapse and the subsequent Klingon invasion a few months later.[4]

Quadrants
One quarter of the galaxy. The four quadrants were designated by the Greek letters Alpha, Beta, Gamma, and Delta, and were arbitrarily divided using Earth as a reference point. As a result, Earth, and the sector it occupied, fell in the Alpha Quadrant, while the sector containing Vulcan and Andoria fell in the Beta Quadrant. The Gamma and Delta Quadrants remained largely unexplored through the 25th century, though knowledge of those regions was greatly increased thanks to the Bajoran wormhole and the U.S.S. Voyager NCC-74656, respectively.[1]

Milky Way Galaxy
Milky Way (TOS-01)
The Milky Way was a spiral galaxy approximately 100 thousand light years across, divided into four quadrants, designated by the Greek letters Alpha, Beta, Gamma, and Delta, and were arbitrarily divided using Earth as a reference point. As a result, Earth, and the Sol Sector, fell in the Alpha Quadrant, while the Vulcan and Andorian Sectors fell in the Beta Quadrant. The Gamma and Delta Quadrants remained largely unexplored by the early 25th century, though knowledge of those regions was greatly increased thanks to the Bajoran wormhole and the U.S.S. Voyager NCC-74656, respectively.[3] The galaxy was surrounded by a nearly-impenetrable energy field, dubbed the Galactic Barrier, with unpredictable neurogenic properties.[1, 3] Likewise, the core of the galaxy is surrounded by a distinct but related field, dubbed the Great Barrier.[2, 3]

Wormhole, Barzan
Semi-stable wormhole, with one terminus fixed in the Barzan System in the Alpha Quadrant, and the other moving to various locations in the galaxy, including the Delta Quadrant.[1] Tracked by dispersal plasma, the wormhole’s Delta Quadrant terminus was re-opened near Takar by a verteron bombardment, but was then destabilized on its subspace axis with the disruption caused by a Ferengi shuttle’s graviton burst, which was believed to have also destabilized the terminus in the Alpha Quadrant.[2]
