Arjin
Trill initiate who became a host candidate because he hoped to fulfill his father’s wishes. Arjin worked hard to attain the goal of joining, winning honors in astrophysics and even becoming a fifth-level pilot. Arjin did not, however, have a clear idea of what he would do with his life, if and when he were joined. His field docent, Jadzia Dax, pointed this out to him in 2370, during his initiate training. This was a difficult realization for Arjin, but it helped him find a greater sense of purpose.[1] Portrayed by Geoffrey Blake.

Arissa
Undercover Idanian intelligence agent. In 2371, Arissa was sent on a mission to collect evidence against Draim, a member of the Orion Syndicate. Because Draim routinely employed telepaths to scan all employees, Arissa’s memories were removed and stored in a data crystal. While at station Deep Space Nine to recover the data crystal in 2373, Arissa fell in love with Odo. After her memories were restored, Arissa revealed that she was married. She told Odo that in a way she still loved him and that she would never forget him.[1] Portrayed by Dey Young.

Member of the Cardassian underground movement. In 2371, Ari was killed while attempting to help Kira Nerys escape from Cardassia Prime[1] Portrayed by Billy Burke.

Arandis
Curzon Dax had been a good friend of Arandis, and the two spent a lot of time together on his last trip to Risa in 2367. Curzon died while making love with Arandis. She termed it, “death by jamaharon.“[1]

Aquino
Ensign Aquino was killed in 2369 after investigating a security breach. Neela, who had planned to assassinate Vedek Bareil, was preparing her escape route when Aquino caught her in the act. Neela killed the ensign, then tried to conceal the crime by placing him into a conduit where energy bursts would reduce the body to ashes.[1]

Annel
Inhabitant of station Deep Space 9 in 2373. Annel would often babysit for the O’Brien family.[1]

Amaros
Amaros (DS9-440)
Member of the Maquis. He was among the group that abducted Gul Dukat from Deep Space 9 in 2370[2] and worked with Maquis leader Calvin Hudson to liberate Federation colonists from Cardassian control in the Cardassian Demilitarized Zone.[1]

Amaro
Amaro attended Starfleet Academy with Stolzoff, and the two were good friends. In 2373, Amaro was part of a salvage team sent from Deep Space 9 to the abandoned Cardassian station Empok Nor. Amaro was killed at Empok Nor by former Cardassian security operative Elim Garak when Garak suffered from the effects of a powerful psychotropic drug.[1]

Altovar
Altovar (DS9-464)
In 2371 on Deep Space 9, Altovar attemted to steal bio-mimetic gel from the infirmary. When Dr. Julian Bashir caught him ransacking the supplies in search of the gel, Altovar attacked the doctor, causing a telepathically-induced coma.[1]
