Barstow
Commodore Barstow contacted the U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701 after an apparently galaxy-wide time warp distortion was detected in 2266. Barstow ordered the Enterprise to investigate and determine if this phenomenon was a prelude to invasion by an unknown force.[1] Portrayed by Richard Derr.

Tonia Barrows (TOS-17)
Crewman Tonia Barrows was assigned to a landing party to assess an unknown planet’s suitability for shore leave. The planet was controlled by an alien being known only as the Caretaker, who made the landing party’s wishes come true—often with fatal consequences.
Barrows, a fan of medieval fantasy, inadvertently conjured up a Don Juan. Dr. Leonard McCoy was attracted to the yeoman and came to her rescue when she later imagined a black knight, but the doctor was impaled by the knight’s lance. Barrows was relieved to eventually discover that McCoy had been restored by the Caretaker.[1]
Portrayed by Emily Banks.

Barnhart
The body of Crewman Barnhart, a Human engineer, was found by Lieutenant Sulu and Yeoman Rand after the M-113 “salt creature” was inadvertently beamed aboard the U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701 after assuming the form of Crewman Green. Barnhart had been working on Deck Nine when he was attacked by the salt-sucking lifeform. The creature was the last of its kind, and could apparently use a kind of telepathy to place the image of whomever or whatever it pleased into the minds of those around it. It also killed three other crewmembers before it was stopped.[1]

Petty thief and con man in the Mirror Universe. He was very different from his counterpart in the prime universe, who was a noted Bajoran cleric. The mirror Bareil was once involved with a woman named Lisea, whom he met at an Ilvian pleasure center. The two were together for five years until she was killed by a drunken Cardassian soldier. In late 2373, as part of a plan with Kira Nerys (Mirror), he entered the prime universe to purloin a Bajoran Orb. He fell for the Kira Nerys of the prime universe, who persuaded him to abandon his plan and return to his universe without the Orb.[1] Portrayed by Philip Anglim.

Reginald Barclay and creature in transporter (TNG-228)
Lieutenant Reginald Endicott Barclay III, a Human who was born in 2333, was unusually eccentric for a Starfleet officer. Though he was a talented systems diagnostic engineer, he was uncomfortable in the most common of social situations, and so took great pains to avoid them. Because of his social weaknesses, at one point in his career he was addicted to the holodeck. One of his favorite scenarios was a variation on “The Three Musketeers” in which the holodeck version of Counselor Deanna Troi fell in love with him.[1] Another of Barclay’s quirks was his morbid fear of the transporter. For the sake of his Starfleet career he tried to hide his unease, but when given the option he would prefer to travel by shuttlecraft for hours rather than beam somewhere in seconds.[3]

Barbo
Ferengi and cousin of Quark. Barbo was released from the Tarahong detention center in 2369. At a Ferengi trade conference held on Deep Space Nine, Grand Nagus Zek recounted how Quark and his cousin sold defective warp drives to the Tarahong government. Zek praised Quark for betraying Barbo to the authorities and leaving him at the Tarahong detention center while Quark kept all the profits, an honorable act in the Ferengi system of values.[1]
