What secrets lurk on a strange world?

The crew begins to show signs of developing scurvy, a disease resulting from the lack of vitamin C. The food from their last mission appears to take necessary nutrients and block the absorption of them into a human‘s bloodstream. As everyone aboard begins to rapidly deteriorate, the vessel arrives at the home of the Kirse, a reclusive race who appear to have an abundance of supplies that could cure the crew. But at what price?
