The Jarada, a mysterious insectlike race, has asked for Captain Picard specifically to handle negotiations for joining the Federation. When the crew arrives, the landing party is separated and cut off from communicating with the Enterprise. Each person must rely on their own training and skill to survive and decipher the Jarada’s true motives.
