P’Jem

P'Jem Surface (ENT-07)
P’Jem Surface (ENT-07)

Ancient, sacred Vulcan monastery. The 3,000-year-old monastery served as a sanctuary for meditation and the ritual purging of emotion known as the kolinahr. Andorian commandos took control of the temple in 2151, searching for a hidden sensor array. Captain Archer and the Enterprise NX-01 crew were taken hostage during the incident. The monks insisted that there was no sensor array, but one was eventually discovered deep in the monastery’s catacombs—a direct violation of the Vulcans’ treaty with the Andorians.[1] After the Enterprise left the region, the Andorians gave the monks three hours to evacuate, then destroyed the temple.[2] P’Jem was located in orbit of Luyten’s Star, approximately 12.4 light years from Earth, 3 light years from Vulcan, and 1 light year from Andoria.[3]

Pharos (EV MVL #2)

Located within the Marrat Nebula, Pharos was a source of vast deposits of extremely pure dilithium, which threatened to spark an interstellar war. Rather than let the dilithium fall into the hands of the Klingons, Captain Pike set off a chain reaction beneath the planet’s surface that destroyed the dilithium.[1]

Orion Colonies

Colony worlds in the Pi 3 Orionis System[2] under the influence of the Orions. Captain Pike considered leaving Starfleet and settling there after an incident on Rigel VII.[1]

Niburon Colonies

After a group of Suliban civilians escaped from a Tandaran internment camp in 2152, they planned to go to the Niburon Colonies. Danik told Jonathan Archer that there were people in the Niburon Colonies who might help the former internees.[1]

Neptune

Neptune, a blue-hued Class-J world,[2] was the eighth planet in the Sol System. The Talosians viewed an image of the Sol System while accessing the U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701‘s computer.[1] Neptune was 49,528 kilometers in diameter and was located nearly 4.5 billion kilometers from Sol. Neptune’s surface temperature was -225°C, and the planet had a rotation period of 0.67 days. Neptune’s year was equal to 164.8 Earth years, and the planet had a gravity of 1.19 g. Neptune had eight moons, including Triton and Nereid.[2]

Nebula, Emission

Interstellar dust cloud that emitted electromagnetic radiation and rendered cloaking devices useless. One such nebula was in Cardassian space in the Almatha Sector, where the Amleth System and its one Class-M planet were located.[1]

Nebula, Dark Matter (VOY-113)

An otherwise unnamed Delta Quadrant nebula, home of the Komar energy beings who fed off the neural energy of unwitting and unfortunate passers-by. Its strong EM emissions make it an ideal hiding spot. Neelix once lost a warp nacelle due to bow wave pressure while piloting a ship through another dark matter nebula.[1]

Nebula, Class 17 (VOY-145)

A blue nebula in the same sector as Porakas, source of a viral parasite that sent Tuvok‘s memory back to the U.S.S. Excelsior NCC-2000. With standard hydrogen and helium amounts, it scanned 7,000 parts-per-million of sirillium and had high plasmatic turbulence.[1]
