Alpha Onias III Caves (TNG-190)
A barren yet light blue Class-M planet with hazy clouds, considered uninhabited until Barash was discovered there in 2367. One large cavern two kilometers below the surface contained stalactites, stalagmites, and volcanic gases including methane, sulfur dioxide and hydrogen sulfide.[1]

Alpha Omicron Asteroid Belt
Asteroid belt of the previously uncharted Alpha Omicron System. A pregnant cosmozoan was discovered by the U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701-D when it headed toward the asteroid belt to spawn. Data theorized the compound kefnium found both there and in the aliens’ outer skin might provide it with sustenance.[1]

A Class-J gas giant where a large cosmozoan was found and unintentionally killed. It was soon discovered that the alien was pregnant and its baby was birthed post-mortem. The baby was then reunited with other adults of its species in the system’s asteroid belt.[1]

The Alphans’ dependence on energy tapped from the home planet’s magnetosphere almost led to war over sister moon Beta‘s concerns over the resulting environmental and medical damage. Ambassador Odan was called on to mediate the dispute.[1]
