Arturis
Like many of his people, who were native to the Delta Quadrant, Arturis was a gifted linguist. When his people were assimilated by the Borg in 2374, Arturis reasoned that the U.S.S. Voyager NCC-74656‘s aid to the Borg against Species 8472 was responsible. He believed that had Voyager not so allied themselves, the Borg would have been defeated by Species 8472, and his people would not have been assimilated. Seeking revenge, Arturis created an elaborate trap to convince the Voyager crew that Starfleet had sent an advanced starship, the U.S.S. Dauntless NX-01A, to rescue them. In fact, there was no Federation Starship Dauntless; the vessel was a fake onto which Arturis hoped to trap the Voyager crew so that they could be sent into Borg space to be assimilated. The Voyager crew discovered the deception in time to escape Arturis’ trap, but Arturis himself was assimilated when his ship entered Borg space.[1] Portrayed by Ray Wise.

Artim
An inhabitant of the Ba’ku planet, born in 2363, Artim was the son of Sojef. Artim had a Ba’ku rhyl as a pet who lived in his pocket. Artim befriended Data in 2375 during Admiral Dougherty‘s attempt to drive the Ba’ku from their adopted homeworld.[1]

Arridor
Member of a Ferengi delegation sent to negotiate for the rights to the Barzan wormhole in 2366. Dr. Arridor was responsible for the distillation of a Ferengi pyrocyte which DaiMon Goss used to poison the Federation ambassador, Dr. Mendoza. Dr. Arridor was one of the crew of a Ferengi pod sent to investigate the Barzan wormhole; he was lost in the distant Delta Quadrant when one terminus of the wormhole changed location unexpectedly.[1] Arridor and Kol, the shuttle’s other occupant, crash landed on the Takarian homeworld and assumed the role of the Great Sages from Takarian mythology. In 2373, the U.S.S. Voyager NCC-74656, also stranded in the Delta Quadrant, happened upon the planet and forced Arridor and Kol to leave. When they stole a shuttle and attempted to return to the Takarian planet, their shuttle was pulled into the Barzan wormhole by a gravitational eddy. Their actions knocked the wormhole off its subspace axis so that both of its endpoints now jumped around erratically. The fate of Arridor, Kol and their stolen shuttle remains unknown.[2] Portrayed by Dan Shor.

Arriaga
In 2372, under orders from Admiral Leyton, Arriaga attaced a subspace modulator to the relay satellite on the far side of the Bajoran wormhole to create the appearance that cloaked ships were coming through, feeding Federation fears of an imminent Dominion invasion. When confronted, Arriaga confessed his role in Leyton’s conspiracy. Leyton subsequently attempted unsuccessfully to destroy the U.S.S. Defiant NX-74205 to prevent Arriaga from returning to Earth.[1]

Armus
A malevolent life-form on the planet Vagra II. Armus was formed when the inhabitants of Vagra II developed a means of ridding themselves of all that was evil within themselves. The Vagrans all departed from their home as creatures of dazzling beauty, leaving behind Armus, whose malevolence was compounded by the loneliness of having been abandoned. Armus resembled an oil slick, but was capable of forming himself into humanoid shape, and could also generate forcefields of considerable strength. Armus killed Enterprise-D security chief Tasha Yar when she was participating in a rescue mission on Vagra II. Armus had no apparent motive for the murder, except for his own amusement. Armus is believed to still exist on the planet’s surface.[1] Portrayed by Mart McChesney.

Arjin
Trill initiate who became a host candidate because he hoped to fulfill his father’s wishes. Arjin worked hard to attain the goal of joining, winning honors in astrophysics and even becoming a fifth-level pilot. Arjin did not, however, have a clear idea of what he would do with his life, if and when he were joined. His field docent, Jadzia Dax, pointed this out to him in 2370, during his initiate training. This was a difficult realization for Arjin, but it helped him find a greater sense of purpose.[1] Portrayed by Geoffrey Blake.

Arissa
Undercover Idanian intelligence agent. In 2371, Arissa was sent on a mission to collect evidence against Draim, a member of the Orion Syndicate. Because Draim routinely employed telepaths to scan all employees, Arissa’s memories were removed and stored in a data crystal. While at station Deep Space Nine to recover the data crystal in 2373, Arissa fell in love with Odo. After her memories were restored, Arissa revealed that she was married. She told Odo that in a way she still loved him and that she would never forget him.[1] Portrayed by Dey Young.
