Nearest neighboring galaxy to the Milky Way, about one million light years away. Home to many forms of life, including the intelligent spacefaring species known as the Kelvans. Kelvan scientists believed that increasing levels of radiation would render it uninhabitable within ten millennia of the 23rd century.^[1]
