Kirk, Aurelan

Aurelan was the wife of George Samuel Kirk, Jr., with whom she had three sons.^[1] While on Deneva with George and their son, Peter, in 2266, the colony was attacked by Denevan neural parasites. The Kirks were infected shortly before the arrival of the U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701, commanded by George’s brother, James T. Kirk. George succumbed to the immense stresses placed on his body by the parasites before the family could be found by an Enterprise landing party led by Jim. Aurelan soon succumbed as well after being taken aboard the Enterprise, dying before a cure could be found.^[2] Portrayed by Joan Swift.

ST11 Timeline

Aurelan Kirk was infected by the Denevan neural parasites during an attack on the Deneva colony in 2258.^[3] When the U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701 arrived soon thereafter, the Kirk family’s lives were saved thanks to the quick actions of the crew. When the crisis had passed, George introduced Aurelan and the couple’s only child, Peter, to his estranged younger brother, Enterprise Captain James T. Kirk.^[4]
