Apgar, Nel

Tanugan scientist who worked on development of a Krieger Wave converter on a science station in orbit around Tanuga IV. Apgar was killed under suspicious circumstances in the explosion of the science station in 2366. Commander William Riker, first officer of the U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701-D, was implicated in the case, but was eventually cleared when a holodeck re-creation of the incident provided convincing evidence that Apgar himself was responsible for the fatal explosion, apparently while trying to kill Riker.^[1]
